Message from the HWISE 2006 Chairs

Many people have kindly helped us prepare and organize the HWISE workshop. First of all, we would like to thank the AINA 2006 organization committee for their support, guidance, and help for making the workshop. We would like to greatly thank Dr. Hui-Huang Hsu, Dr. Laurence T. Yang, and Dr. Muhammad Younas. They kindly helped us to organize this workshop as AINA 2006 Workshop Co-chairs. We would like to express our special thank to Prof. Makoto Takizawa and Prof. Raj Jain for their leadership as advisory chairs of HWISE 2006. We thank Mr. Satoshi Itaya, Mr. Hiroyuki Yoshino, and other Takizawa Laboratory members for their hard and timely work on maintaining the web systems for distributing information, receiving the paper submissions, reviewing the papers, and sending notifications. In addition, we would like to give our special thank to the local organizers at Vienna University of Technology, Austria. Finally, we would like to take the opportunity to thank all the members of the organization committee and program committee as well as all of the authors who submitted papers and reviewers who reviewed papers.
